Professor emeritus of medical biology, specialising on the biology, medicine and pharmaceutical role of scavenger cells that clear large molecules and nanoparticles from the blood circulation.

I have over 40 years of experience in basic research, including pioneering studies on the role of specialized scavenger cells responsible for clearing large molecules and nanosized compounds from the bood circulation. In addition to my research background, I have 10 years of experience as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of the Contract Research Organization (CRO) D’Liver AS, which I founded in 2011. Furthermore, I have spent 4 years (2021–2025) as a self-employed consultant at KCLECPC1 AS, providing the pharmaceutical industry and basic science research with analyses on the mechanisms of clearance of blood-borne large molecules and nanosized pharmaceuticals from the circulation. Throughout my career, I have built extensive networks within academia and industry, both nationally and internationally.
